How Much Does It Cost to Build a Pool in Miami-Dade or Broward County?
It's the first question almost everyone asks, and the one most pool companies dodge until you've sat through a sales pitch. Here's what we can tell you honestly, in writing, before you ever schedule a visit.
The honest starting range
Most residential pool projects with Ivero Pools — in Miami-Dade or Broward County — start around $38,000. That figure covers a standard in-ground pool, plaster or comparable finish, basic decking and equipment — not a bare shell.
Those are starting figures, not a quote. Your actual price depends on the specifics below, and you'll get an exact number in writing within 48 hours of a free, in-person site visit — not a phone estimate.
What actually changes the price
A few things move the number up or down more than anything else:
Size and shape. A larger footprint costs more to excavate, gunite and finish — and a more complex geometric or freeform shape with multiple angles takes longer to form than a simple rectangle.
Spa and water features. An attached spa, a spillway, deck jets or bubblers each add their own labor and equipment cost. We'll price these out specifically for your design rather than folding them into a generic "extras" line.
Decking material and size. Deck pricing depends on several things at once: whether it's installed over a sand or concrete base (which also affects the warranty), the material itself — anything from plain cement to large-format marble or travertine — and the slab size and installation technique. A larger deck footprint around the pool adds material and labor regardless of finish.
Site access and conditions. A backyard that's hard to reach with equipment, existing hardscape that needs removal, or drainage and grade issues can add cost before construction even starts.
Permitting requirements. Miami-Dade and Broward — and DERM specifically — can require additional review depending on your lot's drainage and environmental factors. We handle all of that in-house, but it's a real part of the timeline and, in some cases, the cost.
Turn-key projects run higher
If your project bundles the pool with a pergola, fence and full deck package — a true turn-key backyard, not just a pool — the total project cost runs well above a pool-only build, since it covers more scope, materials and finishes. What doesn't change is the structure of the deal: it's still one contract, one company and one permit sequence, not separate vendors billing you independently.
